This Is Me

I was born and raised in Cuba, where music became part of my life an early age. My father, a musician who performed with the orchestra of Enrique Jorrin, creator of the cha–cha–chá, played an important role in encouraging my musical education.

My formal training at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana gave me a strong foundation, while my experiences on different stages and throughout my professional career continued to shape the musician I am today. Over the years, my career has taken me through different countries, stages, and creative environments, allowing me to grow as a pianist, vocal coach, music director, and educator. Each experience has expanded the way I understand music –not only as an art form, but as a way to connect, communicate, and create. My passion for education eventually led me to create Florida Music & Art Academy, where I bring together musical training, creativity, and an individualized approach to help students develop confidence, independence, and their own artistic voice.

My work in musical theatre has brought these different parts of my experience together –music direction, vocal coaching, performance, and education. Today, I continue that work as a Musical Theatre CPD Tutor with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), supporting educators in bringing music, voice, and storytelling into their teaching.
